The North Star

North Star offers an elegant country environment for small and medium (up to 30 indoors and 50 in the gardens) events. In nice weather enjoy your event on our 3-1/2 acres of formal gardens, woodland paths around the pond, stone patios and music/dancing deck with wisteria pergola.

 

Indoors you may use the art gallery, music room with baby grand piano, salon, large entrance hall and large kitchen with island and tables for food and beverage service. Hardwood floors and the deck invite dancing. We also have off-street parking. We may suggest several locations both indoors and in the gardens that are charming for a  small wedding service.

Complete food and beverage service are available. Our excellent private chef can customize a menu to your taste for receptions as well as for sitdown dinners in the gallery or gardens. We emphasize serving delicious locally-sourced foods

 

Consider us for daytime as well as evening events. Perhaps you would like a garden party with light refreshments. Or a wine and cheese tasting. This is a great location for alumni reunions and groups that would especially enjoy the art gallery and being in a beautiful Victorian building. And for weddings, it is the ultimate for a romantic setting.

 

We have one large Airbnb room with private bathroom and a large mirror that is helpful to provide a private space for wedding parties. Guests who stay in our Airbnb receive a 10% discount on Brian Keeler art in the gallery.

 

As we are just minutes from the Ithaca Airport, Cornell University, and Botanic Gardens, and downtown Ithaca, North Star Event Venue is the perfect option for a serene country setting as well as a location convenient to favorite visitor places. Bicyclists enjoy the rolling hills that surround us.

 

Event Fees
 

Basic venue fee: varies with the number of guests and which facilities you use. Indoor receptions start at $750.

 We can suggest wedding planners, florists, musician,  and singers ranging from classical, Celtic, jazz, and for a variety of types of dancing.
